We do not endorse candidates, parties, or coalitions. We serve all sides equally. The tool you use is the same tool your opponent uses.

Why we built this

Kenya has held general elections since 1963. Every cycle, millions of voters struggle to find their polling station, understand their candidates, or verify basic facts about the ballot in front of them.

At the same time, campaigns — especially at the ward and constituency level — run on paper, WhatsApp groups, and scattered spreadsheets. There's no clean way to know what's working, who's being reached, or where donations are going.

MyVote exists to close that gap on both sides: give voters clean, verifiable information, and give campaigns the tools to earn trust through transparency.

What MyVote is not

Not affiliated with IEBC. We are an independent civic tool. Official information lives at iebc.or.ke.
Not a political party. We don't take sides. We don't endorse. We don't donate.
Not a voting platform. You cannot vote here. Voting happens at your polling station on election day.
Not a data broker. We don't sell voter data. We don't sell location data. We don't sell anything about you.
Not a source of live results. Official results come from IEBC. Any historical data we show is clearly labeled.

Your data

We take the Data Protection Act, 2019 seriously. Here's the short version:

Location: When you tap "Find my station", your location is used in memory to compute the nearest polling station. It is not stored on our servers.
Voter data: We do not collect voter roll numbers, IDs, or personal voter details.
Candidate data: Candidates who sign up control their own content. We store what they give us, and nothing else.
Cookies: We use only essential cookies needed to run the service. No ad trackers. No third-party analytics that identify you.
Your rights: You can request a copy or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing us.

How we're funded

MyVote is built by MyKura Technologies. The civic tools are free to use for every voter. The campaign platform is a paid subscription for candidates and parties — that's how the lights stay on.

We do not take a percentage of donations made to campaigns. Donations go directly to each campaign's own M-Pesa paybill. We charge a flat subscription fee, nothing more.
